The next day after navigation through the Spegazzini and the Upsala glacier, ending the day at the Estancia, It is certainly an ideal combination of adventure, glaciers, and history. The 4×4 ride uphill runs through a mountain trail among forests and rivers, until reaching the viewpoint of the Upsala glacier, with views to the South Patagonia Ice Field. The immensity of the landscape is very moving.

A hiding secret will be waiting for you at El Chalten, a unique ecological lodge where you can choose 2 options to arrive there, 3 hours trekking or 10 minutes of navigation. From the room of this amazing place, you can see the Fitz Roy mountain and the people walking on it.

Day 1: Arrival at BA and connect directly to Bariloche

Day 2: Horseback riding

This fabulous ride through centennial woods of coihue, mountain cypress and radal trees around the lake will make you marvel at the spectacular views of the region and feel part of the majestic beauty of our amazing Patagonia.

Back at the Estancia, you will enjoy a mouthwatering homemade meal with local wines and a warm coffee by the inviting fireplace; or a one of a kind tea with sweet homemade pastry.



For those who love Patagonia and its immensity, we offer to go further and explore a unique road connecting San Martin de los Andes and Villa la Angostura, going through the very well known Seven lakes. Is the best way to contemplate, in exclusive, a combination of the classic and essential of the region and its flavors.

Starting at the Nahuel Huapi lake from Bariloche, we´ll get to see along the road the following lakes: Espejo, Correntoso, Villarino, Falkner, Machonico and Lacar.

As we travel along the road bordering the lake shores, we´ll maridage the unique views with the special Patagonian flavors.

Day 4: FD Navigation through Nahuel Huapi Lake - ISLA EXPERIENCE CAMPESTRE

We will board the motorboat to cross the cold waters of Nahuel Huapi Lake for around 45 minutes, up to the millenary island. There, we will hike the woodlands through inner trails, to watch its varied flora and fauna and learn about its history.

The trails we´ll follow for about two hours pose no technical challenge, there are no significant slopes; being quiet and with a little bit of luck, we might even spot some deer or pheasant.

A Mountain lunch meal will thrill all our senses.


Day 5: Kayaking

Half Day.

Kayaking allow us to reach the most remote and virgin areas in nature, experiencing the Andes from another angle, enjoying the silent of Patagonia.

We´ll embark at Bahia Lopez to paddle the lake towards a nice beach where we can enjoy a mate tasting or cross the Angostura Stream towards Moreno Lake, have a tecnical stop at Isla Conejo to rest and enjoy our Snack, and go back to our starting point.


Day 6: flight BRC FTE 9:40 – 11:25 Estancia Nibepo

Visiting this estancia is perfect to experience the Patagonian rural life and complements the on. It includes: tour to the glaciers. in the afternoon and they include r tea, tests for horse reins and sheep shearing demonstration. The trip ends with an exquisite lamb grilled on a traditional Patagonian cross stake (lunch or dinner).


Day 7: Navigation Day

Sailing Lake Argentino + Upsala glacier + 4×4 rides to the Upsala viewpoint + Historic tour: The Museum and the Estancia’s main house/div>

If you would like to visit the Upsala glacier and the Estancia, It is certainly an ideal combination of adventure, glaciers and history. The 4×4 ride uphill runs through a mountain trail among forests and rivers, until reaching the viewpoint of the Upsala glacier, with views to the South Patagonic Ice Field. The immensity of the landscape is very moving. Tour to the Estancia, Museo Costumbrista, Chapel. Optional lunch at the Quincho.



Declared by UNESCO as Natural World Heritage Site the astonishing Perito Moreno Glacier descends to the lake Argentino. The Glacier was originated about 30.000 years ago and covers an extension of 40 km over the waters of Lago Argentino.
The mini trekking expierence on Perito Moreno glaciers includes short sailing by the south wall of the glacier and a tour in the runways trekking for almost 2 hours and it will end with a drink in the middle of nowhere with millenaries ice.

This is the most complete tour to visit the Perito Moreno glacier as it includes the trekking on the ice, a At the Bajo las Sombras port, located 5 km before reaching the glacier, you embark to cross the “Rico” Lake and descend on the southwestern coast after 20 minutes sailing. The tour guides lead you to a shelter in the forest where they organize groups up to 20 people. Then, the trekking begins heading towards the glacier where, after reaching the ice, you need to put on iron crampons to walk on this surface. The tour on the glacier is about an hour and a half, in which cracks, seracs, sinks and small lakes can be appreciated. The hike is moderate and you will walk on an irregular ice surface, but firm and safe.

The return to the port is made with an approach to the walls of the glacier where you can enjoy a Scotch glass with ice from the Perito Moreno glacier.

Later, you return to Bajo las Sombras port and you are taken to visit the runways located in front of the glacier, where you can have a different view of the landscape. Finally, you begin the journey back to the city of El Calafate after visiting and walking on one of the most famous and unique glacier of its kind in the world.

In the Argentinian Patagonia, Aguas Arriba Lodge is located by the Lago del Desierto, 37 km from El Chalten, the national capital of trekking.

The Lodge is part of the Estancia Rio de las Vueltas, a property with 700 hectares of mountain and 900 meters of shore line, covered with centenarian trees from the Nothfagus species.

In this undisclosed Argentina, at only 5 km of the Chilenean border,  accessible only through the lakes or hiking in the forest, it is common to see only our own shadow or the ones coming along.
